Purely on the basis of literary merit they command, I am translating some of the selected Tamil literary works in English. Other than a chaste intention of translating Tamil fiction in English, no other considerations drive me in this enterprise. While every effort has been made to trace copy right holders and obtain permission, this has not been possible in all the cases; any omissions brought to my notice will be remedied in future. If any copy right holder has objections to the translations published here,  the same may be brought to my notice for its removal from this blog.
